Project overview

The context behind S&A IT Training & Consulting Corp Website Development.

S&A IT Training & Consulting Corp, based in Schaumburg, Illinois, specializes in certified Information Technology programs in partnership with Northeastern Illinois University. The company required a professional website to showcase their courses, services, and provide resources for students and professionals seeking IT training and consulting services.

At the start of the project, S&A IT Training & Consulting Corp faced several significant challenges. First and foremost, they lacked a professional online presence, which limited their ability to reach a wider audience beyond their local network. Their course enrollment process was manual and inefficient, often resulting in lost leads and delayed student onboarding. There was also no centralized system to manage course content or distribute learning resources, creating barriers for both students and instructors. Another major challenge was establishing trust and authority in the highly competitive IT training industry—without a modern and user-friendly website, the company found it difficult to stand out. Additionally, integrating Moodle with a custom-built front end while ensuring a seamless user experience presented technical complexities that had to be carefully navigated.

The development of the S&A IT Training & Consulting Corp website followed a structured, phased approach to ensure quality and timely delivery. The project began with a two-week requirement analysis and planning phase, where stakeholders outlined the goals, technical needs, and design expectations. This was followed by a three-week design and prototyping stage, where wireframes and mockups were created and refined based on client feedback. During the five-week development phase, the front end was coded using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, while the back end was built in PHP with a MySQL database. Moodle was customized and integrated to manage course content and student progress. After development, the site underwent one week of testing and quality assurance, where functionality, compatibility, and user experience were thoroughly evaluated. Finally, in the deployment and launch phase, the site was migrated to a Linux-based production server and made live, with final checks to ensure stability and performance.
