MyHarbeck was developed to help construction teams move faster, stay safer, and ditch the paperwork. Built for the Harbeck Group in the UK, this Android app makes it easy for workers to register, complete inductions, check into job sites, and upload safety documents — all from their phone. Whether it’s a new contractor arriving on-site or a manager needing a quick overview of compliance status, MyHarbeck helps streamline day-to-day operations and improves safety workflows in real time.
Construction environments come with their own set of complex needs. Here’s what we had to solve: Outdated Manual Processes: Harbeck’s team was spending too much time on paperwork, in-person inductions, and manual compliance checks. On-Site Connectivity Issues: Many job sites had low or no internet, so the app needed to work reliably offline. Multi-Role Access Needs: The platform needed clear separation for admin, managers, and workers — each with different permissions. Document Management and Verification: Workers needed to upload and update certifications, while managers needed to verify and track them. Compliance & Safety Readiness: All workflows had to align with GDPR and UK construction safety standards.
We took a mobile-first approach, focusing on speed, security, and usability: Native Android Development: Built with Kotlin to ensure a smooth, fast experience across all modern Android devices. Digital Inductions & Onboarding: Workers could complete training and register before stepping foot on-site. QR Code Site Check-In: Introduced touchless, secure site access with fast scanning at each location. Document Upload & Alerts: Enabled real-time uploads and automated reminders for license renewals and certification expiry. Role-Based Access Control: Designed clear user roles so admins, managers, and workers each had the right tools at their fingertips. Offline Mode Support: Ensured the app worked flawlessly even in low-signal environments — with background sync when reconnected. Admin Dashboard: Gave site managers live access to worker status, documentation, and emergency contacts.
