This Android app helps drivers quickly find available EV charging stations, reserve a spot, and pay – all from one sleek, easy-to-use interface. Whether it’s a quick top-up in the city or a long-distance trip across the country, Pow and Go puts the power in the driver’s hands by connecting them with a growing network of public and private chargers throughout the UK.
EV charging is still evolving, and building an app for this space came with real-world challenges: Real-Time Charger Availability: Users needed up-to-the-second updates on charger status to avoid wasted trips or delays. Frictionless Booking & Payment: We had to make finding and paying for a charger as fast and smooth as filling a tank. Reliable Navigation: Integrating map data to guide users to the right station, even in busy city areas or remote spots, was key. Diverse Charger Networks: The app needed to work across multiple providers with varying data formats and access methods. Security and Trust: With payments, personal data, and location involved, users had to feel safe using the platform.
